Welcome to InnerWell! If you’re interested in setting up an initial appointment for individual or couples therapy, or if you would like more information, please send an email to rachel@innerwell.org, or call 802-258-7014. At this time, my availability is limited to daytime appointments, including some during the lunch hour and early in the day.
What happens at the first appointment
The first appointment is generally scheduled for 50 minutes for individuals, and 75 minutes for couples. During that time, you will have a chance to share with me your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to get out of the process. Sometimes, people aren’t entirely sure about their goals, and that’s okay too. We can discuss what’s clear and what still needs to get clarified. I will ask you some questions about the background of the challenge you’re facing or growth you’re seeking, and we’ll have a chance to get to know each other and see if it feels like a good fit. You’ll also have a chance to ask me any questions you might have. If we decide to work together, then we would schedule a weekly meeting time (in most cases). Before your first appointment
Before your first appointment, please complete the InnerWell Intake Form. If you do not have access to a printer, let me know and I can send you a hard copy of this PDF file. Please bring your completed form with you to your first appointment, and for couples, each person should fill out a separate form.
Insurance
If you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, please confirm your out-of-network therapy benefits and deductible with your plan. Questions to ask when calling your insurance company include:
- Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much has already been met?
- My therapist’s fee is $135 for a 50-minute session (procedure code #90806). What percentage or amount of that will be covered?
- Do I need an authorization code to begin therapy with an out-of-network provider? (Ask for one, if you wish to do so.) Code:___________________
