Right Use of Power – The Heart of Ethics, a continuing education workshop with Cedar Barstow, M.Ed.

Cedar Barstow, M.Ed., CHT
Friday, January 28, 2011
8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Brattleboro, Vermont

Ethics is more than a coded list of rules for behavior.  The Right Use of Power approach to ethics is dynamic and engaging, and recognizes that the issues of power in helping relationships are complex.  Through talks, discussion, and experiential practices, you will be learning ethics from the inside out, rather than the rule side in.   An ethical orientation includes the study of power dynamics, tracking for and understanding the unique nature of your impact on others, being in service, making amends for and learning from mistakes, ongoing education and dialogue about ethical dilemmas, and creating an atmosphere for effective peer consulting.   The intention of this presentation is to bring more heart, soul, depth, and immediacy to the study of ethics.

Cedar Barstow, M.Ed., CHT
