Level One Training in Brattleboro, Vermont ~ Begins April 2012!

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a simple yet sophisticated integration of intrapsychic and systems theories, psychology, and spirituality. It is a collaborative, effective, and non-pathologizing form of therapy that trusts the wisdom of clients and helps therapists keep themselves grounded and open to the therapeutic process. IFS can be blended with other modes of therapy and is applicable to a wide range of internal and interpersonal struggles. In this 6-module training, participants learn the nuts and bolts of IFS theory and practice, including how to use IFS to enhance and reignite their clinical work. Topics include: the central concepts of IFS such as Self and parts; the stages of IFS therapy; how to help clients access their innate compassion, confidence and curiosity to witness and heal old wounds; and how the inner system of the therapist can promote or hinder therapy. This training program will include didactic learning, video/live demonstrations and experiential learning to help therapists develop proficiency in this powerful and elegant healing modality.
